Yoga Basics

Interested in starting a yoga practice to up-level your self-care or revisiting the basics? Come learn how the holistic practice of yoga supports your physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing and experience it for yourself virtually from the comfort of your own home. Questions and curiosity is welcomed and encouraged! We'll meet every Monday at 6:00 PM EST on Zoom.

We'll open with a short talk based around the theme of each class as I introduce new principles and concepts. Then we'll move on to some simple breath work practices, followed by an accessible yoga flow. In order to build on what we're learning, we will stick with a similar sequence that builds on itself so students can become familiar and comfortable with the postures and better track their progress (how their bodies change and feel) overtime. There will be lots of options for different bodies/mobility levels and plenty of time for questions at the end!

If you'd like to make a donation (Suggested $5-15) please send through venmo: @Victoria-Wolfgang
All proceeds support me directly as a full-time yoga teacher while yoga studios remain closed in DC.

This class will be donation based until March 22nd. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. If you are experiencing financial hardship and want to join us after March 22nd simply reach out to me directly at Victoria@Victoriawolfgang.com to make arrangements.

***If you would like to receive personalized cues for alignment purposes, please set up with your camera facing your mat/practice space lengthwise, so I can see you from head to tail. This is totally optional. You're welcome to practice with your camera off anytime as well!

***About your teacher:
Victoria Wolfgang is a yoga teacher (RYT-200, Rocket 50-hr) and certified life coach specializing in intuitive wellness and body-centered psychology. She has bachelors degrees in both biology and psychology and has always been fascinated by the relationship between the body and mind.
Victoria has been practicing yoga since 2015 and teaching since 2018 after graduating from master teacher Mimi Rieger's Yoga Teacher Training.
Victoria's teaching style is most influenced by ashtanga, vinyasa, rocket, and trauma informed yoga. She believes in the benefits of both an intelligent, structured, and linear approach to movement, as well as intuitive and free-form movement aimed at entering a mental state of creative flow.
To that end, she weaves in elements informed by her background as a martial artist and dance therapy practitioner in her creative vinyasa classes.
Victoria is a mysore ashtanga yoga practitioner studying under level 2 authorized ashtanga yoga teacher Michael Joel Hall.
She also practices acroyoga and does fire flow art performances in her free time.

If you are an experienced yoga practitioner, check out my other classes on my website VictoriaWolfgang.com and stay tuned for more offerings to be announced, but please feel free to share this event with family or friends who may be curious and share the gift of yoga!

Embodied Self-Compassion Virtual Workshop

IMG_20200430_130630_023.jpg

Join me for a very special virtual workshop on Embodied Self-Compassion LIVE on ZOOM Saturday May 16th 2020 at 3:00 PM EST.

Every body is sacred, beautiful, and perfect. Living in quarantine has brought up a lot of body image struggles for folx, including myself. We’ve lost control over so many variables including our movement and eating routines. And losing control can be extremely triggering. I created this workshop based on the practices that have helped me to heal my own relationship with my body over the years, to share with you during this challenging time. This is a project near and dear to my heart. I would be honored if you'd trust me to hold space for you to cultivate a loving relationship with your body, and potentially explore that relationship in ways you haven't before.

This workshop will include:
Mindful movement, guided meditation, a kick-ass body-positive playlist, facilitation for empowerment, self-massage and more!
And OPTIONAL NUDITY! (GASP! Participant videos will be disabled!)

This is your opportunity to experience a nude yoga/movement class in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Nudity is optional of course but participants are encouraged to practice with more skin exposed for the purpose of enhanced sensation and our grand finale self-massage at the end. You just might be surprised at what you experience! (Ultimately it comes down to whatever makes you most comfy!)

No experience with yoga or dance is necessary to participate in this workshop. All gender identities welcome. All you need is a body!

For your comfort and added benefit, its also a good idea to have:

  • a warm space to move around (think about using a heater if your plan to practice naked)

  • A mat or carpeted area for padding

  • Massage oil (lotion will work too if you don’t have oil)

  • a towel

  • a warm jacket or blanket nearby in case you get cold

IMPORTANT: TWO Steps for registration
1) Register for this workshop at the zoom link below:
